Super Mario Bros. Wonder features a variety of unique stages, and navigating through World 2 brings players face-to-face with their first major airship challenge. The Fluff-Puff Peaks Flying Battleship serves as a pivotal stage that tests platforming skills against heavy artillery and explosive hazards. Finding this level and understanding how to unlock access to it ensures players can seamlessly progress through the cloud kingdom.
Where to Find the Fluff-Puff Peaks Flying Battleship
The Fluff-Puff Peaks Flying Battleship is located within World 2, known as Fluff-Puff Peaks. This level appears near the middle section of the world map as a towering airborne fortress. Players looking to complete all courses in the region must conquer this stage to clear the path forward.
Prerequisite Levels and How to Unlock Access
Before you can step foot onto the airship, you must clear specific prerequisite stages in Fluff-Puff Peaks. Access to the flying battleship becomes available immediately after completing the stage titled Up 'n' Down with Puffy Lifts. Once that level is beaten, Kamek summons the airship onto the map screen, allowing your character to enter.
Key Challenges Inside the Battleship Stage
Surviving the battleship requires staying alert to frequent enemy spawns, including Bob-ombs, Bullet Bills, and targeting attacks. The course introduces creative Mechanics where players can use enemy explosions to blow open pathways and collect hidden Flower Coins. Reaching the end triggers a unique encounter inside the airship where you must overload the machinery to destroy the vessel.
New Courses Unlocked After Defeating the Fortress
Clearing the Fluff-Puff Peaks Flying Battleship yields significant rewards and unlocks multiple branching paths on the world map. Upon successfully escaping the ship, players gain access to Countdown to Drop Down, Cruising with Linking Lifts, and the region's main palace course. Conquering this level is a mandatory step for anyone aiming for complete progression through Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
