Completing Buzz Lightyear's questline in Disney Dreamlight Valley involves several scavenging missions that test a player's patience and observational skills. Among these, the Collect Em All Strangers From The Outside quest stands out as one of the trickiest due to its time-gated mechanics and indoor spawning locations. Understanding how these little alien toys spawn and where they like to hide will help you finish the quest efficiently.
How to Unlock and Start the Quest
Before you can begin searching for the second set of alien toys, you must complete the initial quest called Collect Em All Little Green Men. Once that prerequisite mission is finished, you will need to wait approximately 48 real-time hours for Buzz Lightyear to offer the follow-up task. Speaking to Buzz after this waiting period officially initiates the search for 15 missing alien toys scattered across the valley.
Where to Find the Alien Toys
Unlike the first scavenging mission where toys spawned outdoors in various biomes, this quest focuses entirely on indoor locations. The alien toys spawn inside the homes of various villagers, including Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Merlin, Remy, Woody, and Buzz himself. You will not find all 15 toys at once because the spawning process happens in two distinct phases.
Navigating the Two Spawning Waves
During the first day of the quest, only eight alien toys will appear in the designated villager homes. The remaining seven toys will spawn approximately 36 hours later, requiring players to check back after the timer expires. If you want to check details about game updates or news, you can visit Disney Dreamlight Valley for official announcements. Make sure to check each home thoroughly, as toys can occasionally clip into furniture or hide in tight corners.
Tips for Finding Missing Toys and Claiming Rewards
If you are struggling to spot the last few aliens, try turning off the in-game music and turning up the sound effects. The alien toys produce a distinct sparkling sound effect that makes them easier to locate by audio alone. Once all 15 toys are collected and returned to Buzz Lightyear, you will be rewarded with a Space Ranger Supply Kit containing valuable crafting materials.
